Who are TwoGetherness?

Singer Monique Vermeer has been part of the Wageningen and Zeist music scene since the late eighties . This all-round singer has been involved in a variety of different groups and ensembles.
She started out with the ska-band Pink Attic which was fairly succesful in the Wageningen area and even became runner-up in the
Monique Vermeer (Oude Pothuijs)
'Parel van de Betuwe (Pearl of the Betuwe)' contest. After this she discovered the rock'n'roll side of music, which evolved into the formation Monique-a-GoGo and later on 'The Bobbitts'
Looking for a new challenge she familiarized herself with jazz, which she states to have become her new passion. Early 2006 she spread her wings again, this time she recorderd the vocals for German Trance DJ Ronski Speed AKA Sun Decade single "Have it all".
JeeWee (Oude Pothuijs) Guitarist JeeWee Donkers is not unknown in the local jazz scene of Wageningen; he has been playing in the jazz formation Worst van Walraven for more than seven years now. His roots are clearly in the blues:  greats like the three Kings and Eric Clapton are amongst his idols. In a later stage the music of Jimi Hendrix made him familiar with more varied styles, including improvisation. Finally Pat Metheny pointed him into the
direction of jazz. This resulted in the formation of the successful jazz group Douleur Locale in 1993, which had a repertoire of jazz and ethnic originals.
Even though he has been reportedly playing in Big Bands, he has been developing his own style of solo accompaniment, inspired by Joe Pass, Gil Dor and Tuck Andress. This style has proved to be very appropriate in small ensembles like TwoGetherness and the brazilian bossa-nova trio Sotaque.
